Special Offers
As an alternative to the standard pricing methods, B&B Manager allows you to set up
Special Offers. Typically, these are
price reductions that may apply to guests staying for particular durations at a certain time of the year. You can view all your special
offers by selecting
Rooms > Special Offers from the top menu.
Adding a Special Offer
To add a new special offer, click on the
Add button at the top of the
Special Offers screen. Then enter the following
details of the special offer:
- Title. The name you give to the special offer (e.g. "Easter Special").
- Start and End Dates. The dates between which the special offer applies.
- Room(s). The room or rooms to which the special offer applies.
- Start Day. The day on which a guest must arrive for the offer to apply. This can be set to "Any day" if there is no restriction.
- Duration. The minimum and maximum number of nights the guest must stay for the offer to apply.
- Discount. The offer discount, which can be set per night, as a total or as a percentage of the booking value.
Then click
OK to add the special offer.
Applying a Special Offer to a Booking
When you add a new booking using the
New Booking screen, one of the tasks is to select the dates and rooms for the booking.
If, having done this, B&B Manager detects that one or more of the special offers you have set up can be applied to the booking, the
Offers .. button is enabled. You can click this button to view the available offers, and tick any that you wish to apply. The total
cost of the booking is then adjusted automatically to take account of the selected offer(s).
You can apply special offers to a booking you have already added by double-clicking the booking in the
Room Information panel
to display the
Booking Details screen. Then select the
Special Offers tab and click on the
Add button. This shows
all the applicable special offers, and you can tick each offer you wish to apply to the booking. The total cost of the booking is adjusted automatically
to allow for the selected offer(s).
